Vickie Fieler has been a nurse for over 30 years. She has a PhD in Nursing Research from the University of Rochester in New York.  Vickie works at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire as the Director of Nursing Research and Professional Development. She lives on the Seacoast of New Hampshire with her daughter Amanda, a student at the Monarch School of New England, and Amanda’s grandmother, ‘Nanny.’ When Vickie is not working, she loves to take walks in the neighborhood with Amanda and Nanny. They also love to drive along the seacoast as Amanda loves water and music.

Heather Tacconi, Esq. – Board Vice President

Attorney Heather Tacconi is the owner and founder of Tacconi Law, LLC, which is a general practice firm located in downtown Rochester New Hampshire.  Attorney Tacconi has represented clients in hundreds of cases in various areas of law including estate planning, elder law, guardianships, parenting matters, education law, divorce, administrative disputes, civil matters and many others. Clients come from all walks of life, each with their own story.  When not assisting clients, Ms. Tacconi dedicates her time to the New Hampshire Bar Pro Bono Board and various non-profit and civic boards in the city of Rochester.  In addition to the Monarch School Board, Attorney Tacconi is also a member of the Board of Directors of Rochester Main Street program and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce.

James Carolan
President, Carolan & Company

Jim Carolan is a principal in Carolan & Company, a consulting firm specializing in business turnarounds, planning and business development. He has over thirty year of management and executive experience with Johnson & Johnson, Union Carbide and Lydall, Inc. Jim gained extensive operations, planning, international and marketing during a twenty-two year career with Lydall, a specialty materials company. Most of his assignments involved turning around problem automotive, filtration and medical device businesses. He also served as Lydall’s Executive Vice President and as a member of their Board of Directors. His consulting activities have included interim management assignments with a Chapter 11 specialty paper company and with a financially distressed school, as well as merger and acquisition and business development projects. Jim holds a BS degree in Accounting from Fordham University and currently resides on the New Hampshire Seacoast. He is a trustee of a regional New England theater and before becoming board president at the Monarch School of New England, served almost four years as vice-president.

Retired Special Education Teacher

Born in Bangor  Maine, Anne spent much of her first fifteen years moving throughout New England.  She knew from the age of fifteen, that she wanted to work with children with special needs.  For the next three summers, she did just that as a volunteer, and then went to undergraduate school taking graduate level classes in Special Education. Anne started the first program for children with special needs at a primary school in Augusta, Maine, and then went on to graduate school.   Throughout her career, she has worked in the field as a teacher, case manager, consultant, tester and advocate.  In 2006, she retired to explore her creative side through photography. Knowing that she wanted to remain a part of an educational community, Anne was introduced to Monarch School and has now become a proud member of that board.  She is a past board member of the Friends of the Wentworth and the York Art Association as well as a Colonial Dame and retired member of the Junior League. Anne’s interests are tennis, sailing, photography, jewelry making and reading.

Ron Vachon

Ron Vachon is a builder. His focus is residential and light commercial projects, including renovation, rehabilitation or new construction. He began his business in 1982 with $100 borrowed from a friend – his first job was painting a dining room ceiling! Ron’s passion for building that helped him start his business remains with him today in 2017. He brings this dedication and focus to his work as a new Board member for the Monarch School of New England.
