Unlimited possibilities for students with special needs

Individualized Education, Collective Support

The Monarch School of New England presumes potential.

We believe in a creative, collaborative, and multi-disciplinary approach to education that is tailored to each student. By reducing barriers to make learning accessible, our students are actively engaged in their own academic, community, and life-skill pursuits.

We blend traditional and innovative methodologies to support every student's educational journey, so they can reach their greatest potential.

We believe in the Monarch Way

Hear our team speak to the Monarch Way

We see our students for their abilities, not disabilities.

The Monarch School of New England is a place where being different is the norm.  And that’s a good thing.

We are different in the way we approach our work.
We are different in the way we celebrate the success of our kiddos.
We are different in the way we lead learning — by focusing on strengths, not shortcomings.

And our students are different.

They are funny, curious, smart, endearing, feisty, challenging, and completely authentic. And that’s exactly what we love about them.

What Parents are saying about MSNE

Kind Words

“As a former educator, I have seen firsthand the impact that a quality education can provide for a child, particularly those who are differently-abled. When my son was born facing some severe medical, physical, communicative, and cognitive challenges, there was no question where his father and I wanted him to go: The Monarch School of New England.

Everyone is genuinely invested in the growth of my child, across all areas of his life. My son has been able to access a variety of different therapies and services that are not typically offered in a traditional school setting.

As a child in a wheelchair, who is nonverbal and medically complicated, finding ways to participate can feel overwhelming. But The Monarch School of New England encourages him to engage in meaningful ways. My son has helped make bedding and dog cookies for local animal shelters, has participated in water and equine physical therapies, has gone kayaking with adaptive equipment, and has grown beautiful plants with the gardening program.

My son is learning how to utilize technology to inform staff when something hurts, communicate how he wants to spend his time and respond when asked questions. I know so much of this has to do with the perseverance, belief, and care of the skilled staff at Monarch.

Being the parent of a child with special needs is filled with constant worry. You always hope that your child will be seen for who they are, instead of who they are not. At Monarch, my son is adored for the beautiful, mischievous, smart, and funny boy he is. The impact this school has is evident. I am so grateful for the services, care, and expertise of The Monarch School of New England provides.”
