The Monarch School of New England is thrilled to announce a special performance of Snow White and Other Tales, a puppet show performed by our own art / music teachers, Andrew and Bonnie Periale, on Friday April 13, 2018. There will be two shows, at 5:30, and 7:30, and light refreshments will be available.
Thank you to the following partners for their sponsorship of this special performance!
Snow White and Other Tales features original and zany re-tellings of favorite fairytales, including: Little Red Riding Hood, The Princess and the Pea, and Snow White. There is even a sassy, rapping, breakdancing cat!
The show runs approximately 45 minutes, and is intended for school-age students, ages 5 and up, though all are welcome. Adults will appreciate the humor in this show as well.
Andrew and Bonnie are the founders of Perry Alley Theatre, a touring company which presents new works of theatre through the media of puppetry, acting, dance and music. One of their creations was nominated for an Emmy and was a finalist in the International Festival of Film and Television. They have received three UNIMA Citations for Excellence in the art of Puppetry and a Parent’s Choice award as designers of the Velcro® Puppet Playhouse line of toys. They have produced Puppetry International magazine (and its predecessor, A Propos) for UNIMA-USA for over 30 years and were given the George Latshaw award for service to the field by the Puppeteers of America. Last year they were elected Members of Honor of UNIMA, the international puppetry organization.
They have performed all over the US, including the Smithsonian Institution and the Center for Puppetry Arts (Atlanta), national and regional festivals. The Monarch School of New England is honored that Andrew and Bonnie are bringing their talents and this show to the Regional High School & Vocational Center, at 13 Monarch Way, in Rochester, NH!
